Hand Felted Coasters
Make an heirloom-quality coaster set
Learn the ancient craft of wet felting by making yourself a set of coasters. Using only raw wool, soapy water and the agitation of your hands, you’ll make yourself a set of 4 thick felt coasters. The process of transforming raw wool into felt has been performed by humans for millennia!
We’ll be working with the beautiful wool roving from Harrisville Designs, a heritage mill in New Hampshire. Their fleece is “dyed in the wool”, meaning it has flecks of many different colors carded together. This fiber makes a sophisticated, heirloom quality felt.
