SUGAR SPIN: Featuring artists Brittany Powell Parich and LeBrie Rich

From the bright graphics of candy wrappers to enticing advertising campaigns to major holidays built around sugar filled concoctions, we are constantly reminded of sweets. Ms Rich has created a selection of wool, hand-felted candies that range from a 5th Avenue bar to the Whitman’s Sampler for the exhibition. Ms Parich, renders in subtle watercolors, stylized paintings of Kit Kat, PayDay, Snickers and more that dialogue from their frames with the felted sculptures. This exhibition highlights the saturation of candy in contemporary culture but in calorie-free form.
