Beginner Needle Felting Sushi Workshop @ Makerspace Sellwood

  • Makerspace Sellwood 1520 SE Bybee Blvd Portland, OR 97202 United States (map)

Learn to felt beautiful sushi out of wool

In this workshop you’ll felt a pair of wool sushi that look just like the real thing. You’ll learn about shaping the wool and blending layers of color, so you can make actual scale nigiri look-alikes.

You'll learn all about needle felting: what types of fibers work best, selecting appropriate felting needles, and how to sculpt and combine complex shapes. At the end of this class you'll be equipped with the skills to do all sorts of needle felting projects.

First time felters will be guided towards simpler sushi, while experienced felters can tackle more complex forms. Everyone welcome!

At the end of class you get to take home your felting needle. You’ll have the option to buy the felt pad work surface + more fiber if you want to keep felting!
